Maries Village - AMENITIES
Maries Village has a security guard, who is on duty at the gate 24/7. Inside the village there are big businesses and a few affluent residences that have hired their own guards. The subdivision is home to the middle class and several upper class families. In some cases when residents have no private transport, there are tricycles at the gate that they can hire to take them home. This is because other forms of public transport, such as buses and jeepneys are not allowed inside the village.
There are big businesses as well as small business, such as vegetable carts, fish carts and fruit carts that go around the subdivision at the doorstep of the residents to sell their wet produce. This saves the residents’ time and energy of going to the market because the products are brought to them by enterprising individuals.
A covered court doubles as an occasion venue and as a basketball court, where the youth converge and do their thing. The covered court is spacious and is not boxed in, so it’s well ventilated by natural air. Young men and adults alike often enjoy a game or two to get sufficient exercise and, at the same time, spend bonding time with their friends.
A number of roads inside the village require some work because there are cracked portions here and there. Nevertheless, they could still serve their purpose. A few vacant lots need maintenance as well. There are mats of vegetation in the lots; however, robust weeds abound, indicating that the area need some maintenance.
There are lots of open spaces where you can take a morning jog or a brisk walk. It would also be a superb way to breathe in fresh air and relish the scent of nature from the lush greenery from the surrounding terrain.
The village’s water comes from a centralized source, and the electricity supply is ensured for each homeowner’s use. In cases if service interruptions, the residents are sufficiently notified to allow them to have time to prepare for it. Homeowners are advised to reuse water and conserve electricity as one way of implementing environmental-friendly activities.
During the rainy season, there may be pools of water that may form in some places, but these are manageable. Residents are enjoined to dispose of their garbage properly. A garbage truck collects the garbage regularly to prevent clogging of the drainage pipes, which can aggravate the accumulation of flood waters.
